Bakers Delight, Findon Shopping Centre

Green Technology Solutions has retrofitted Findon Shopping Centre Bakers Delight store in Adelaide; possible the only bakery store to use low-energy LED lighting at the commercial level.

The Bakers Delight store was a great success for us in terms of establishing retrofit and implementation cost and enable us to see the product in a real life environment in Australia as opposed to a bench test result. Comparison of the lux levels measured before and after installation of the LEDlight tubes showed that our LEDlight tubes proved a close match to the original fluorescent lights.

The before lux reading was measured fluorescent lamps;
The after lux reading was measured LEDlight tubes.

We have proven results!

The results from the upgrade showed that each tube provided the necessary light level whilst maintaining energy usage at or below the 15W mark (compared to fluorescents usage around 45W). The business recorded a reduction in their average power bill by $59 per month. With savings like these, the cost recovery of LED lights implementation is expected to be around 2.5 years and you'll feel safe knowing that during those years you will be covered by the warranty we provide on our products of up to 3 years.

The following lux reading was taken after approximately 1,904 operational hours (estimated 3 months after the retrofitting). The results show the overall lux reading has improved by 3% over that period of time.
